Why You Should Get A Redken Semi Permanent Glazing Service

Can anyone believe Christmas is 8 days away?! I sure can’t. With my birthday coming up on the 22nd and my brother’s birthday the 20th it’s always a whirlwind of a week filled with time with family, friends and of course – lots of gifts! This year I have two Christmas parties to attend and my hair needed a little pick me up. Traveling from my hometown of Ottawa, Canada to Orlando always messes with my hair. Going from frigid below freezing temperatures to humid, tropic temperatures has my hair going WTF. It gets frizzy, dull and difficult to style. Luckily, my friends over at Hair Cuttery suggested I get their Redken Shine Bomb semi-permanent glazing service to bring my hair back to life! Keep reading to learn how to get this service + a blowout for $20!
So, what is the Redken Shine Bomb semi-permanent glazing service?
The Redken Shine Bomb semi-permanent glazing service is essentially a 20-minute treatment left in your hair to maximize hair shine. This ammonia-free, clear formula adds a gorgeous glossy shine to your hair.
What hair types will benefit from this service?
This service can be performed on all hair types – including dry, frizzy, oily and more.
How long does the service take?
In my experience, the application took about 15 minutes (I have a lot of hair!) and the product sat on my hair for 20 minutes. Then, my hair was washed and blown out. In total, I was in and out in about 1.5 hours. If you have shorter hair, the process won’t take as long. If you’re in a pinch, skip the blow out and dry your
Does it hurt?
Not at all! I actually found the entire service super relaxing! The treatment didn’t burn my eyes or scalp. It did have a bit of a strong odor – but it was manageable and washed out right away. I almost fell asleep during the service – it felt like a prolonged session of someone playing with my hair. It felt more like a spa service than anything else!

How much does it cost?
Since this service is available at Hair Cuttery, pricing varies per location. However, the location close to me in Florida offers the service for $20. This includes the Redken Shine Bomb semi-permanent glazing service and a style service (blowout etc.). If you have super long hair like mine, it is an additional $10 as they will be applying the additional product.
How long does the treatment last?
The treatment lasts for about 20 shampoos In order to maximize the duration of results, try to wash your hair sparingly (ideally every 3-4 days) and use heat tools as little as possible. If you have a great curling wand and/or straightener you should only need to use it once in between washes!
What is the aftercare?
Aftercare is minimal – I was told to ensure I was using a leave-in conditioner after showering to provide my hair with extra hydration. Any time you receive a salon treatment where heat is involved, you’ll want to make sure you’re giving your hair extra TLC and hydration.
How often should I get a touch-up?
In order to maximize shine, every 12 weeks. However, you can definitely stretch out the services. You can also limit this service to special occasions such as the holidays, vacations, etc.! Since the hair gloss service merely coats your hair and washes away over time, you won’t see visible regrowth or harsh lines! Hurray!
If you’re interested in receiving this service – pay a visit to your local Hair Cuttery! I’d suggest calling in first to book an appointment (although walk-ins are welcome!) and get a quote on the service. Also, this service would be a great Christmas gift! Let’s be honest, gifts that include TLC (or a blow-out more especially) and the best gifts! If you’re interested in gifting a color service – use code 22142 to receive 50% off (new guests only).
