Newborn Baby Essentials
It’s hard to believe my son just turned 7 weeks old! I’ve tried out tons of baby products in the past 7 weeks and today I’m sharing my absolute favorites! If you’re a new mom or have a new mom on your shopping list this post is for you!

BabyBuddha 2.0 Breast Pump, $189.99
If you’re looking for a compact, lightweight and powerful breast pump – the Baby Buddha 2.0 is for you! I still can’t get over how tiny the motor is – yet it can empty so much milk! I’m also in LOVE with the flange cushions! They are so comfortable on your (most likely worn down) breasts. It also has 21 comfort settings – so you can personalize the rhythm and pressure! Spoil the new mama in your life with this pump!
Peg Perego Ypsi Stroller, $699.99
I have officially found the most aesthetic stroller on the market. When I first saw the Peg Perego Ypsi stroller I was completely taken back by the rose gold finishes! It’s more than a pretty stroller – it is easy to assemble and disassemble and converts from a single to double stroller! It’s also easy to push and turn as the wheels have suspension that allow for 360 degree agility. It comes with a reversible stroller seat with three adjustable backrest positions: sitting, relaxing and resting! We have the ‘Mon Amour’ finish, although it comes in other color combinations!
Peg Perego Ypsi Bassinet, $349.99
The Peg Perego Ypsi bassinet is equally as aesthetic as the Ypsi stroller! We have primarily been using the bassinet with the stroller when going on walks! He also uses it as a bassinet in our living room! When he’s not sleeping in the Snow at nighttime, he takes naps in this overnight sleeping approved bassinet! It comes with a stand and can be easily transferred from room to room! The bassinet includes a mesh insert that provides air circulation. It comes with a stand and has a removable mattress that can be easily cleaned!
Silicone Pacifier Clip Holders, $8.49 (Pack Of 4)
You will go through a LOT of pacifiers in a day. Why? Babies have a tendency to knock them out of their mouths straight on the floor. All. Day. Keep their pacifier in check with these clip holders! Simply look them into the pacifier and clip them onto their outfit! Just remember to never let them sleep with the clip holders on as they can pose a strangulation risk.
FullWell Prenatal Vitamins, $44.95
I’ve been taking the FullWell prenatal vitamins for over a year now! My doctor suggested l begin before conception and continue taking through my pregnancy and while breastfeeding! My doctor was amazed at the high levels of vitamins and nutrients packed into the pills! I never experienced any side effects (some friends have said they had acne breakouts and nausea with other brands) and they have become a staple in my nighttime routine! If you’re a fan of lemon, they also provide a lemon zest flavor.
Kendamil Classic Infant Formula, $33.99
We were given the opportunity to try out Kendamil Classic Infant Formula and so far it has been a hit! Kendamil infant formula combines natural whole milk fats and lactose from grass-fed cows. It is also enriched with prebiotic blend of HMOs, GOS & FOS to help support a healthy immune system. It also includes plant-based DHA (Omega-3) and ARA (Omega-6) for brain and vision development. I’d highly recommend using this formula maker to save time (and sanity!).
Little Unicorn Skyline Backpack, $100
This backpack is so versatile! I first used it as a diaper bag – but then I ended up using it for my pump + parts when I’m on-the-go! This backpack has such a luxe feel and I love the gold hardware! It has several compartments – for you and baby! It also comes in black!
VAVA Baby Night Light, $29.99
We use this dimmable night light with touch control daily! It is perfect for late night feedings and quiet time. To turn it on you simply tap twice and to dim you touch and hold the light for a few seconds. It is also portable so it doesn’t need to be plugged in at all times! This would be a great gift for a baby shower!
VAVA Baby Monitor with Split Screen, $279.99
We have been using the VAVA Baby Monitor and we love it! It is super easy to use and install. The best part? It comes with two monitors – so we can have the flexibility to move Snoo back and forth between multiple rooms! It will also come in handy with two children!
Peek-a-Boo Flappy The Elephant, $31.16
As I’m typing this, my son is 7 weeks old. He doesn’t care about toys, period. Other than a few black-and-white books, he only cares about the ceiling fans. However, the first time I introduced him to Flappy the elephant – he was completely enthralled. And stopped crying! I love this elephant because it has interactive play. Press his left foot to begin a game of peek-a-boo, where Flappy hides behind his oversized ears. Press his right foot to hear music play while his ears fall to the rhythm! Zach and I catch each other humming the melody every once in a while! Lol
Baby Brezza Bottle Washer + Sterilizer, $299
This two-in-one washer and sterilizer is an absolute must have for every mama! This product saves us literal hours every single day! You simply rinse out the bottles and pump parts and place them in the machine. It then washes, sterilizes and dries everything! It has 20 high-pressure spray jets and it kills 99.9% of germs. You can choose from 6 cleaning modes – wash, sterilize & dry; wash & dry; wash only; sterilize & dry; sterilize only or dry only!

KeaBabies Velcro Swaddles, $25.96 (Pack Of 3)
These are hands down the best swaddles I’ve tried (and we’ve tried plenty!). What I love most about these swaddles is the velcro finish! It ensures a quick swaddle and baby can stay swaddled for hours! They come in a pack of 3 and you can choose from tons of colors and patterns! A great addition to a baby registry!
Kyte Baby Zippered Footie, $37.99
Chances are your newborn will be in sleepers the majority of the time. The quick, convenient changes make them a popular grab when changing your baby! I tried out Kyte Sleepers and I’m obsessed. First of all, they have have dual zippers (never buy the sleepers with snaps – takes too long to take on/off). Dual zippers allow you to only zip off the bottom portion when changing diapers, keeping baby warmer (and happier!). The bamboo rayon fabric is super soft and plush. These sleepers have held up much better in the wash than other brands!
Mommy’s Bliss Gas Relief Drops Bottle, $8.99
My little guy has tummy troubles (ie. gas) and we’ve found these gas drops effective! They contain simethicone which helps break down gas and reduce discomfort and pain. You can put it in their formula/ milk or insert it right into their mouth (he loves the taste of it!).
NUK Pacifiers, $12.99
Our favorite pacifiers are NUK for Nature Orthodontic Pacifiers! These pacifiers were invented by pediatric dentists and doctors. They naturally fit into baby’s palate and encourages natural sucking motion, reduces pressure on teeth and jaw and helps prevent teeth misalignment. These specific pacifiers are offered in sizes 0-2 months, 0-6 months and 6-18 months.
Star Pacifier Holder Case, $7.99
I love these star shaped pacifier holder cases! It makes finding and accessing clean pacifiers so easy. I have one in my diaper bag and one in my car. The perfect addition to a baby shower gift!
Muslin Burp Cloths, $16.99
Muslim burp cloths are an absolute must for every mama! And you’ll need a bunch. I love muslim cloth burp cloths as they are breathable, liquid-absorbing and quick-drying. They come in tons of colors! I have them spread around my house, my diaper bag and in my car!
SNOO Smart Sleeper Baby Bassinet, $1695 or
The Snoo Smart Sleeper Bassinet has been a lifesaver for us! This moving sleeper bassinet soothes babies all night by its gentle rocking which emulates the womb. Baby can sleep in it overnight and it automatically responds to cries with gradually stronger self-rocking and white noise. You can control the motion intensity from your phone for easy access. It encourages approximately 1-2+ hours per night. Absolutely worth it. It does cost a pretty penny but there are options to rent one!
Touch-Free Baby Wipe Warmer with Nightlight, $41.99
There will be people who tell you this is a non-essential. And they are wrong! My baby absolutely cares whether his bum is being touched by a cold or warm wipe. And he will let me know! Seriously, do yourself a favor and minimize the cries with this wipe warmer! It also doubles as a nightlight that shuts off after 15 minutes. Perfect for night diaper changes! It’s a great gift to give a new mama (because she may not buy it for herself).
