Peg Perego YPSI Stroller Review
When I was pregnant, I did a lot of research on strollers. Like, a lot. I wanted something safe, easy to use and pretty. I was also on the hunt for a stroller than can convert into a double. This narrowed down the options significantly. My husband and I went to several stores to see strollers in person and I wasn’t excited about any of them. When I was contacted by Peg Perego to review their gorgeous YPSI stroller I was over the moon! Today I’m sharing an honest review of the Peg Perego YPSI stroller and how we’ve been incorporating it into newborn life. Enjoy!
Let’s start with the basics. The YPSI stroller is easy to push and navigate through sidewalks, grass, trails and more! Why? It has heavy duty wheels with ball bearings and suspension for 360 degree agility. This means you can take the stroller on various terrains and overall less effort when pushing! It is also lightweight and compact. It can easily break down and fit into your car on the go. We’ve taken the stroller on many walks around the neighborhood and on trails with uneven terrains with ease!
The YPSI is versatile with the option to carry baby in a reversible seat, bassinet and car seat! The YPSI seat is comfortable for baby and can be adjusted into three positions for sitting or resting. It has an extendable visitor (UPF 50+) with ventilation, which keeps baby temperature controlled and out of direct sunlight. The seat is also height adjustable, great for a growing child. It can accommodate children up to 50 pounds.
Right now, we’re primarily using the bassinet on walks. He is only 8 weeks old – and comfort comes first. And comfort results in naps. We like naps over here. Maverick will often fall asleep almost instantly in the bassinet. The bassinet is approved for (overnight) sleep so it’s an easy transition when we come home. It can be easily removed from the stroller and placed onto the Home Stand, creating a portable crib. This gives us the luxury of longer naps! This bassinet has a hood and extendable visor (UPF 50+) – great for keeping baby out of the direct sun and heat. There is also a zipper-fastened footmuff which is perfect for cooler weather! In addition, the inside mattress is removable for easy cleanup. The bassinet is suitable for children up to 20 pounds.
As previously mentioned, the YPSI is a simply gorgeous stroller. I selected the color ‘Vanilla Blend’ which features a cream visor and stunning rose gold details. There are several other pretty color coordinations as well! It also features a luxe hand sewn leather bar (which can be adjusted for us tall gals!). It is overall a gorgeous stroller that stands out among the crowd. I’ve had people stop me on walks complimenting the stroller!
A few additional features I love include a generous sized basket which fits a diaper bag, blanket and other on-the-go essentials. It can also transition into a double stroller – which is ideal for those who plan on having two children close in age! You simply purchase double adaptors and a companion seat and voila – a double stroller!
Overall, I’ve been extremely impressed by the Peg Perego YPSI stroller! We’ve been using it for 8 weeks now and it has met all of our expectations. The cost categorizes it as a luxury stroller and it absolutely feels (and looks!) luxurious from top to bottom. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to try it out!
