Hair Care Tips For A Change Of Seasons

Can anyone believe it’s September? I am more than elated fall is right around the corner! Anyone else?! I remember feeling butterflies in my stomach early September as it meant the commencement of a new semester of University. Even though I graduated my Masters 2 years ago (where has the time gone?!), I’ll forever cherish September as a marker for new beginnings. This week, I’ve been scheduling fall and winter blog content (yes holiday content is already in the works!) as well as changing up my beauty routine. I highly recommend everyone re-evaluate their beauty routine at the beginning of every new season. With cooler weather on its way – it’s important to stock up on products that will provide your hair and body with additional hydration. For example, consider exploring different hydration methods such as NAD iv vs injections to ensure your skin remains radiant and healthy throughout the changing seasons. Changing up your beauty routine every season can be pricey – but fear not! I’ve rounded up drugstore products that will treat your hair and skin without breaking the bank!

Whether you’re on a student budget headed back to school or a fan of affordable beauty products (I mean, who isn’t!) you’ll love the Garnier hair products I’ve discovered! First off, shampoo and conditioner! Fall weather can be unpredictable with a mixture of warm and cool days. For this reason, I gravitate towards hair products that provide extra moisture, without encouraging oil buildup. The Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo and conditioner duo aim to restore weak, damaged hair but don’t leave your hair feeling greasy. Greasy hair is an absolutely no-no in my books! Formulated with citrus protein, Vitamins B3 and B6, fruit and plant-derived extracts, this (yummy smelling) duo will provide your hair with the TLC it deserves! Bonus: both products are paraben free!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know I am a firm believer in hair masks and heat protection. No matter what hair type you have – both of these products are essential to restoring your hair. Garnier recently launched a line of 1-minute hair masks and they’re kind of amazing. A lot of my friends have confessed to skipping hair masks simply because they don’t have the time. An extra 20-30 minutes a week adds up, especially if you have little ones. The solution? Garnier’s 1-Minute Hair Masks. You leave them in for (you guessed it!) a total of 1 minute and it provides your hair what an extra shot of hydration. They contain super fruits (Papaya, Avocado, Coconut, Goji, and Banana) so they smell heavenly! The coolest feature? This product can be used as a hair mask, conditioner or leave-in conditioner! Bonus: a vegan formula with no silicones, parabens or artificial colorants! Don’t forget to skip a heat protector! If you’re like me and use heat tools often (hairdryer, straightener, curling wand etc.) you need to use a heat protector! The Garnier Fructis Style Smooth Blow-Dry Anti-Frizz Cream. Not only does this product protect your hair from heat, it also tames frizzy hair and adds shine!

Last but not least, skincare! I’ll be creating an additional post that goes more in depth on my favorite skincare products for fall, but I wanted to leave you with a few goodies I’ve used from Garnier. A gentle pre-cleanser I like to use is Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1. This cleanser is extremely lightweight and helps to get the majority of your makeup off prior to a cleanser. When I use this product before a cleanser, I find my skin gets a more thorough cleanse! Bonus: it’s great for sensitive skin! Last but not least, the Garnier Soothing Facial Mist is the perfect pick me up for your skin. I apply a few sprays with or without makeup on when I need a little extra moisture. It’s perfect for days on-the-go, simply through it in your purse and use as needed!

One of the things I love most about Garnier beauty products is their core value of “beauty responsibility”. All products are responsibly sourced, meaning they are constantly improving the biodegradability of their formulas, producing eco-friendly packaging and supporting vulnerable communities. They also make it their mission to use natural ingredients whenever possible. Further, with partners like TerraCycle, DoSomething and Unicef, Garnier is doing all they can to protect the planet and help millions of women look good and feel good. To try out Garnier products for yourself, head to your local Walgreens.
