Hi Summer, we meet again! One of my favorite things about summer is the social gatherings. Whether it’s a pool party or chick flick marathon, my friends and I tend to go all out! A lot of my girlfriends are new moms and don’t drink alcohol, so I’ve been on a mission to find fun non-alcoholic drinks everyone can enjoy! I recently hosted a girls night at my place where we caught up, painted our nails and watched a ton of chick flicks (one of which was 13 Going On 30 – who remembers that film?!). I made Summer Floats for the girls and they were a total hit! They’re non-dairy and super easy to make – this is a 3-ingredient recipe. Keep reading to see how I made it!

How To Make A Summer Float:

You’ll need:

  • Dr. Pepper
  • Dairy Free Vanilla Coconut Ice Cream
  • Fruit Garnish
  • Cute Glasses
  • Fun Straws

Directions:

Step 1: Place Dairy-Free Ice Cream In Glass

I try to stay dairy-free whenever possible, so I’ve been getting creative with non-dairy alternatives. Turns out coconut milk ice cream tastes amazing (and very similar to traditional dairy ice cream!). For this recipe, I used 4 scoops of vanilla coconut milk ice cream in each glass. You can also substitute with oat milk ice cream if you prefer the taste. Both can be purchased at your local Walmart!

Step 2: Pour Dr. Pepper Into Glass

Dr. Pepper has a subtle hint of cherry flavor that is super refreshing and perfect for a summer float! I like this soft drink as it isn’t too sweet, but it has a unique flavor that blends well with ice cream! I poured the majority of a 12oz. bottle into each glass!

Step 3: Add Straw & Garnish

Stir the ice cream and Dr. Pepper together with a fancy straw and don’t forget to add a garnish! I sliced up strawberries and put one strawberry in each drink for added fruit flavor.

All of the products mentioned above can be found at your local Walmart. Turns out Walmart has some really cute bar carts – plenty under $100! The bar cart displayed in my photos is sadly sold out online, however, I adore this gold 2-tier bar cart for only $79! If you’re looking for a larger bar cart this one is stunning and a little over $100!
