One-Piece Bathing Suit Styled 2 Ways
One-piece swimsuits, oh how I love you. In my opinion, one-piece swimsuits are the perfect combination of classy and sassy – you just have to find the right one. The most important feature of a bathing suit is you feel confident in it. The struggle to find the right bathing suit is so real – and hopping store to store to try on a dozen can be literal torture. Today I’m sharing the universally flattering one-piece bathing suit that can be styled several ways. It’s under $100 and will steal your heart!
Outfit #1
When I set my eyes on this Kate Spade scalloped one-piece bathing suit I knew I had to have it! When I received it in the mail, I was a little worried it wouldn’t fit or feel uncomfortable on. Boy was I wrong! This bathing suit surpassed my expectations as it is made with stretchy, thick material, allowing it to form to my body perfectly and smooth out any lumps. It’s perfect for us small chested ladies as it has scalloped ruching in the bust area, giving off the illusion of a more defined chest. As for the price tag? It’s originally $120, however I found it on sale for under $85 here! It’s also available in pink, burgundy and white. I feel this is a fair price for a timeless swimwear piece! I also found this nearly identical dupe with a slight edge at Nordstrom.
*For sizing reference, I’m 5’10, a size 6 and a medium fit perfectly!
For my first look, I styled the bathing suit with these high waisted ripped shorts under $30. I love these shorts as they come in sizes petite, regular and tall! They’re the perfect shorts for hot weather! I also wore this wide rim hat (only $25!) to protect my face and neck from the sun! While I like to tan my body, I always make sure my face and neck are covered from the sun – I’m avoiding wrinkles at all costs! This wide rim hat with pom poms ($25) has just been placed on my wish list! As for accessories, I wore these platform wedges (under $60) and a straw tote that is sadly sold out! If you’re into the look I’ve had my eyes on this tote, this tote, and this tote all under $100! I love bringing big totes to the pool so I can bring all the essentials – sunscreen, magazines, towels, etc.
Outfit #2
For my second outfit, I wore a silk scarf as a coverup. I love this effortless look for the pool or oceanfront. The scarf I’m wearing is super lightweight and breathable yet it adds some personality to the outfit. The best part? You can wear the scarf multiple ways – around your waist, on your shoulders or in your hair! It also doubles as a blanket if it gets chilly – so it’s pure genius all around. I searched the web and found a ton of scarves under $40. As for the sunnies? Would you believe me if I told you they were under $14?! They come in 3 colors and ridiculously cute. I’m obsessed – and bought them in every color!
