Today I wanted to share my drugstore favorites through a step-by-step makeup removal tutorial. Make sure to read through to the end of the post for some awesome discount codes for your own CVS drugstore beauty haul!
Night Time Makeup Removal Routine
Step 1: Cleansing Water

First things first, I remove my makeup with Simple Water Boost Micellar Cleansing Water. I love this no-rise cleanser as it gently melts away my makeup before my eyes (pun intended). Created with minerals and plant extract, this product is meant for dry, dehydrated and/or sensitive skin. Since my skin is all of the above at the moment, I’ll take all the moisture I can get! This cleansing water instantly rehydrates my skin and leaves it happy.
Step 2: Cleanse Skin
Next, it’s time to cleanse my skin! Since I typically wear a full face of makeup – I find this step necessary to ensure all my makeup and air pollutants have been removed and is left sparkling. I’ve been loving POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser. This cleanser is actually 50% moisturizer, so while it deep cleans your face it also infuses your skin with moisture! A win-win for those with dry and/or sensitive skin. It has a fresh scent (not too overwhelming) and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I typically rotate between this cleanser and Noxzema Classic Clean Original Deep Cleansing Cream. This cleanser also gives your skin a deep cleaning while leaving my skin hydrated! This cleanser can be applied to wet or dry skin and is made with eucalyptus oils for a relaxing cooling effect!
Step 3: Exfoliate Skin

The final step (and my most favorite!) is using St. Ives Green Tea Blackhead Clearing Scrub to exfoliate my skin! This stuff is magic. It has the most refreshing green tea fragrance and contains natural ingredients (including green tea and exfoliating mineral). While some exfoliators can be rough on your skin, this product is extremely delicate with small beads to scrub your face! This product targets blackheads unclogs press and calms redness – leaving your skin brighter and happier!
