5 Things You Didn’t Know About Beauty Masks

October 28, 2016 · In: beauty

beauty masks, origins beauty masks, what masks to use for skin type, eye patches, how to look younger, skin care hacks

Who doesn’t love a great beauty mask?! Some of the most relaxing moments of my month is lounging in a face mask, sipping on green tea and reading a book (Right now I’m hooked on Tim Tebow’s Shaken). As a beauty blogger, you can imagine my knowledge of beauty masks is constantly expanding – and today I wanted to share what I’ve learned about beauty masks!

1. A Mask Primer Exists, And It’s Fabulous

I am a little embarrassed to admit I am only just discovering mask primers. Yes, mask primers exist and I’m in love. Origins Maskimizer™ Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer not only hydrates and soothes skin, it also helps to improve spreadability and rinseability of masks! Even been stuck scrapping off a face mask with a rough hand towel? Not anymore! This primer helps masks to gently wash away, leaving your skin unbothered. Origin’s Maskimizer™ Skin-Optimizing Mask Primer is formulated without paragons, sulfites and phthalates – so you’re skin will be happy!

2. Body Masks Are Also A Thing

Yes, really. Most of us are familiar with face masks, but body masks are a huge discovery of mine! Don’t worry, you’re body won’t conform to a statue! Unlike face masks, body masks don’t harden! Instead, they melt in the shower steam and are to be massaged into your skin! I used Origins’s RitualiTea Feeling Rosy Comforting Cleansing Body Mask for the first time last week and it was the perfect skin exfoliate! It helped to brush away unwanted tanning cream residue and dry skin. I’m a big fan!

3. Face Masks Are Available In Powder Form

Up until now, I had never experimented with powder face masks. Powder face masks are great for all skin types, however, they cater to preventing dryness – so if you have dry skin this may be your best bet! I picked up Origins RitualiTea™ Feeling Rosy™ Comforting Powder Face Mask in Oolong-La. Formulated without parabens, sulfates or phthalates, this face mask helps to rejuvenate your skin with black tea and chai spices. Not to mention you’ll smell like fall afterwards!

4. Pink Face Masks Are The Best Face Masks

Okay, #4 may be a little biased, but seriously this is my new favorite face mask! Origins RitualiTea™ Feeling Rosy™ Comforting Powder Face Mask is made with Mediterranean rose clay, Canadian willow herb and exfoliating jojoba beads and makes your face feel brand new! It not only helps to erase your pores, it also gives your skin a deep clean! My face always feels baby soft after using this face mask. And it’s pink. Brownie points!

Thank you to Origins for sponsoring today’s discussion! As usual, all opinions are mine alone.
