See my must-have liquid lipstick for Fall!
I’m not a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks. Not to throw anyone under the bus, but every matte liquid lip has severely dried out my lips and been been borderline painful to wear. It cracks my lips, and makes them feel like they can’t move. Maybe I have drier lips than most, but matte liquid lipstick is one one bandwagon I’ve never gotten on. Until now. Burberry was kind enough to gift a couple shades from their Liquid Lip Velvet collection. I was excited to receive a gift from Burberry (to think they have my address is a total pinch me moment!) but was sad upon discovering they were liquid lipsticks. I figured it would be another unused beauty product I’d probably give away. I reluctantly tried a shade on… and was so pleasantly surprised to discover #1 it didn’t make my lips instantly feel like stone #2 it was actually moisturizing #3 the color was phenomenal. The formula is absolute perfection. While it technically isn’t a matte finish – it’s a “velvet” finish, meaning it isn’t glossy or completely matte. It’s somewhere in the middle. And I like that middle. Y’all, it’s love!
The Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet collection is comprised of 14 shades from nudes to deep reds and dark purples. The matte-cream formula has a whipped velvet texture that applies like a dream. These shades are extremely pigmented, meaning you only need to use minimal product to achieve best results. The product claims to last 8 hours. I had to touch up after eating, however I like my lip shades to be as brilliant as possible. The color I have on in the photos is Bright Plum, a gorgeous dark purple with hints of fuchsia. It is super flattering for any skin tone.
I am also a huge fan of the shades Fawn, a gorgeous nude shade and Oxblood, a sexy crimson shade. I’m exited to wear all three colors of this liquid lipstick for fall! The product retails higher than most liquid lipsticks, but if you’re like me and only wear liquid lipsticks every once in a while – this product will last you forever. As mentioned before, you only need a tiny amount of product to reach it’s full potential so you won’t need to replace it anytime soon.
