Bold Red Lip Makeup Tutorial

With holiday festivities in full swing, it’s time to rock your favorite red lip! Today I’m sharing a quick makeup tutorial featuring my current favorite red lipstick. I love this shade as it has a blue undertone so it makes my teeth look super white!

Bold Red Lip Makeup Tutorial

Step 1: Foundation

For this look, I used my all time favorite foundation. If you’re a fan of full coverage and have normal-normal oily skin – this is your best foundation match! This foundation does not budge. You will have flawless skin all day long. I’m wearing the shade Dawn.

Step 2: Contour + Highlight

To create definition, I used this contour palette. If you have a round shaped face like me, contouring will help to make your face appear slimmer. I mixed the top three shades in the palette and applied them under my cheekbones, on the sides of my nose and underneath my chin. For a subtle glow, I applied one of my all time favorite highlighters (in shade Gilded Honey). I love how this highlighter is extremity pigmented – you only need to use a little for the perfect shimmer!

Step 3: Brows

When it comes to brows, I only really use this brow pomade (in shade dark brown) with this brush. They’re both worth every penny and last forever!

Step 4: Mascara + Liner 

For this look I created a dramatic winged liner with this liquid eyeliner in shade Noir. To lengthen my lashes, I used this iconic mascara (get it?!).

Step 5: Lipstick 

To finish off the look, I used my all time favorite red liquid lipstick in “Fashion Legacy”. No lip liner required!
