Take a look at my favorite beauty picks at Ulta this season
Today I am sharing with you my current favorite beauty products! I always love reading what products my favorite bloggers are using, so I thought I would let y’all know what I’ve been loving! While I am late to the party on some of these items, a few are new editions. Either way – I love them all!
First things first. While Benefit’s Hoola Matte Bronzer ($29) isn’t exactly “new” I can understand why it won #1 best-selling Prestige Bronzer in the United States in 2015. This powder bronzer is literally the perfect shade to give you a sun-kissed glow. I adore how this bronzer is completely matte, meaning it will not give off any sparkle or shine. This is crucial during the summer here in Florida. This bronzer can also be used as a contour to sculpt and define your features!
After hearing everyone and their mother raving about this concealer, I knew I have to give it a shot! Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ($28) is all that it’s cracked up to be and more! This concealer may go down in history as my favorite concealer of all time. It was love at first application! I have been in the market for a new full coverage concealer to illuminate the dark circles under my eyes. Once I tried the formula at my local Ulta, I was blown away by how the formula was both full coverage AND weightless! You seriously cannot feel this product once it is on your face! I use the shade “medium neutral” to perfectly blend into my foundation. If you haven’t already, you NEED to try this product!
I know, I know. Y’all have heard me rave over Clinique’s Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour ($22) and Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight ($22) for months. But I cannot get enough. I use both products almost every day. I love how both products apply dark, so you can see where you’re applying them, even in low lighting. However, the moment you blend them into your skin, they give off a perfectly natural contour and highlight! The best part is they are both long-wearing and oil-free, which allows them to endure the Florida humidity. Bonus: they’re super lightweight, which is crucial when you lug around a ton of beauty products in your purse!
I have discovered the world’s softest makeup brush! The Velvet Luxe LBD Powder Brush by It Brushes For ULTA #307 ($48) is designed for powder application with comfort in mind. I’m not joking when I say this brush is soft as a baby’s bum! Comprised of ultra-dense, micro-fine Velvet Luxe Optical Blurring hair this brush pampers your face while applying powder to your face. I use to it apply setting powder, bronzer, and blush! I plan on investing in additional IT Brushes for ULTA in the near future!
Another product mentioned frequently #ontheblog this spring is the Tartelette 2 In Bloom Amazonian Clay Palette ($45). I am a palette fanatic and this one may be my #1 favorite (sorry, Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette!). With 9 mattes and 3 lusters, this palette contains the perfect shades for a natural look and smokey eye. My go-to natural look is “flower child” on my lid, “smarty pants” or “jetsetter” in the crease and “charmer” in my tear duct and on my brow bone! All shades in this palette are highly pigmented, long-lasting and blend easily! It’s a goodie.
This. Stuff. Is. Magic. I discovered the First Aid Beauty line when I was having a reaction to an ingredient one a lip mask. I wanted a gentle, soothing balm for my aching skin and did I ever hit the jackpot. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm ($20) applies cool to the touch, soothing irritated lips and provides the perfect amount of moisture and nourishment to baby your lips. This lip balm includes honey, beeswax and colloidal oatmeal to soothe and moisturize lips. I love how this balm is free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and artificial fragrances. It is my favorite lip balm of all time and I apply it every night!
My love for Urban Decay is infinite. Recently I have recently been loving their Naked Flushed Palette ($32) for an on-the-go refresher. With a bronzer, highlighter and blush, this palette is the secret weapon to a long-lasting glow. As with the majority of their powders, these products have a featherlight texture that blends evenly into your foundation. Plus, the universal shades are versatile for any skin tone. In other words, you will likely come to your friends’ rescue on more than one occasion.
Ulta Beauty has just started carrying Fiona Stiles products! Y’all have to give them a try. I am currently adoring after Fiona Stiles Brow Sculpting Wax ($16). It ain’t easy to have good brows, and lately, I have been dipping my toes into brow wax. Essentially, brow wax helps to not only shape your brows but also keep them in shape. Think of it as hair gel (remember when that was a thing?!). I am a fan of the lightweight formula of this wax and how it adds a bit of oomph to my brows!
Speaking of brows, I finally booked an appointment at the Benefit Brow Bar at Ulta Beauty! I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Benefit Brow Bar and was super excited to try it out! A new Ulta Beauty location just opened in Orlando and I decided to check it out and get my brows done. My Benefit brow artist, Kristen, was super friendly and made me feel incredibly comfortable. She explained she would measure my eyebrows and draw on brows with a brow pencil so I could see exactly what my brows would look after being waxed. I found this step so crucial – as I actually decided I wanted my brows a bit thicker once I saw them on my face! The waxing was virtually pain-free and took less than 10 minutes! A month later, my brows still look incredible. I will be getting my eyebrows waxed at Ulta Beauty from now on! I would recommend Ulta’s Benefit Brow Bar services to anyone looking to shape their brows. Next time I will also be getting my brows tinted!
Brows. On. Fleek.
