What To Wear On A Date
Happy Tuesday my loves! Today I am bringing you a fun dating post – date outfit ideas! Whether you’re going out for a casual afternoon coffee or getting dolled up for a dinner out we’ve got you covered! We’re sharing outfit ideas we’ve worn in the past – hoping to inspire some of y’all! As always, it’s most important you wear an outfit that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Your confidence will shine through on your date!
Why The Coffee Date Is Best:
Coffee dates are some of my favorite dates. Why? Because you really get to know someone when you’re sitting face-to-face for a length of time. There’s no *fun factor* to distract you – it’s just you, him, and a latte. I’ve gone on one too many dates where I’ve thought I was really into my date – turns out I was just really into the fun activity/expensive food. There’s also zero alcohol involved – so you get an authentic look into your partner. A coffee date strips you of outside influences and really challenges you to have a real conversation. Living in a digital age, the art of an old fashioned – without any distractions – can be lost. Pay attention to dates who can hold a conversation and ask you questions. A conversation should be two ways – split 50/50 of the attention on yourself and your date. If it’s a first date, keep the conversation light and fun. If it’s a few dates in – get to know each other with some more in depth questions. Happy conversing!
What To Wear On A Coffee Date:
The beauty of a coffee date is you can keep things casual. Hallelujah! If you’re anything like me – casual attire is preferred on dates (especially first dates!). Not only can you be comfortable (no bodycon dresses forcing you to suck in!) you can also get creative with your outfits. For coffee dates I tend to stick with either pants or shorts and pair it with a cute bodysuit or top. For this look, I paired my newest bodysuit (it has darling hearts on it, comes in 2 colors and is currently 50% off!) with my most comfortable pair of cut-off shorts (super stretchy, but hold their shape) and white booties. To finish off the look, I wore my (most comfortable) cardigan – it comes in 4 colors and currently 40% off!). For accessories I wore a couple of my favorite chokers (I recently bought this pack – 11 chokers for $11) for a subtle look. This outfit is comfortable, cute and casual – perfect for a coffee date!
