Where To Vacation In Florida On A Budget

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know my mom is basically my bestie. We’ve been attached at the hip since I was a kid and our relationship has blossomed along the way. She’s one of those fun moms – we have girls dates all the time (Starbucks run and mani/pedi is our recent go-to) and share everything! She’s definitely a giver and has always put me and my brother before herself. This Mother’s Day I wanted to give her the gift of ultimate relaxation. She’s having house renovations done on her house so she couldn’t be gone for too long – so I opted for a staycation at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive. This resort, known as “the official hotel of I-Drive 360” is located in the heart of Orlando. While it is surrounded by some of Orlando’s most popular attractions such as the ICON Orlando, the 22-acre property retains a quaint, laid-back atmosphere. We spent the majority of the time poolside (they have two spacious pools surrounded by gorgeous tropical landscaping) sipping on cocktails and enjoying the onsite dining. We were able to unplug for work for two full days (very rare for me!) and instead lounge in the sunshine and catch up on life.
When we entered our room we were greeted with a delicious snack platter and handwritten card welcoming us. Our room was cozy (the beds are super comfortable!) and left us well rested. Throughout the duration of our stay the staff was warm and welcoming. The resort has an uplifting atmosphere and we left feeling rejuvenated.
If you’re looking for an affordable and relaxing destination, surrounded by some of Orlando’s best attractions you will love The Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive! While we opted to stay on property the whole time (we wanted to be as relaxed as possible) there are endless restaurants and entertainment on International Drive for both adults and children! Revisiting this trip makes me excited to plan another staycation in Orlando. Yes, please!
Thank you to The Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive for hosting my mom and I for two nights. All opinions are mine alone.
