Esterel Resort Getaway
Follow me to the gorgeous Esterel Resort.

Happy Monday beauties! Today I’ll be sharing my trip to the gorgeous Esterel Resort with Marie! Upon returning to Ottawa for the summer, Marie and I made a promise to explore Canada together as much as possible. Make sure to stay tuned to find out where we’re going next! Esterel Resort is located in Esterel, Quebec approximately 2.5 hours from my hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. Bordered by three stunning lakes, Laurentian forest and a Nordic spa – Esterel Resort’s two hotels transport you into a peaceful oasis.

We stayed in a Hotel Evolution Beach Access Suite complete with a bedroom, living room, dressing room, full kitchenette, private patio, lake access, fireplace, and private outdoor jacuzzi! This waterfront paradise wasn’t your typical hotel stay. We felt right at home with cozy finishings (all of the furniture and bed was super comfortable!) and modern finishes. The high ceilings contributed to a spacious, luxurious feel. Additionally, the large windows allowed natural light to pour through, giving it a warm and welcoming space.

One of our favorite perks was the fireplace! Quebec is known for its chilly nights (even in summer!) so the fireplace was the perfect nightly comfort. The fireplace quickly warmed up the room and provided the perfect atmosphere to sip on some wine and play Head’s Up (FYI: I won!).

The king sized bed was super comfortable and proved to be the best place to enjoy some coffee and croissants (made at the hotel!). The natural sunlight pouring into the room each morning was the perfect pick me up!

Our absolute favorite perk of the room was the private beach and lake access just outside our door. The lake was within steps of our suite – and we spent each morning sunbathing on the chairs and dipping our toes into the lake! We felt one with nature as the privacy of our patio allowed a quiet and serene atmosphere. Bonus: our suite came with a private outdoor hot tub! I mean, can a girl be any more spoiled?

The Esterel Resort’s Nordic spa puts every other hotel’s pool access to shame. Complete with complimentary access to a 4-season panoramic pool, steam bath, hot tubs, and Finnish sauna – you’ll feel like you’re in heaven. The steam baths and hot tubs were decorated with a stone fire and gorgeous architectural finishes. A Nordic spa isn’t complete without a waterfall (duh) and this one is a sight for sore eyes!

Get Our Looks:
If you like outdoor activities – you’ll love Esterel Resort! In the summer, you can explore the three lakes with a paddle board, canoe, kayak or paddleboat! You can grab an “
activity passport” granting you access to all of these activities! Marie and I chose to kayak the second day and canoe the third. We explored the lakes and ventured off to an island! It was Marie’s uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu first time paddleboarding and she did it like a champ!

Esterel Resort also provides access to pontoon boats – although we chose to stick to kayaking and canoeing. You can also rent bikes and explore the famous P’tit train du Nord route (over 28 km!) or hike through Esterel Park! If you’re a golfer you will love Esterel’s picturesque 71 par, 6436 yards golf club!

Marie and I are both foodies – so we were excited to try out Esterel’s three gourmet restaurants: Bistro à Champlain, ROK and 260°. We dined at ROK the first night, famous for its hot stone to frill your filet mignon, shrimp or scallops! We started with appetizers – I ordered the humongous crab cakes and Marie had the mixed greens. For entrees, I opted for the scallops and Marie had the jump shrimp (some of the biggest shrimp I’ve ever seen!). We grilled our food to perfection and enjoyed it alongside Ratatouille and baked potatoes! Yum!

We dined until sunset and enjoyed rose along with dessert (I opted for the mouthwatering brownie – with a macaroon on top!).

The next day we had lunch at 260° – a bistro and bar that offers a 260° view of the lake! I enjoyed the Estérel beef burger on kaiser with roasted pork flank, Wabassee cheese, fries and garlic flower mayo. Marie ordered the pasta of the day! We both agreed it was delicious and just what we needed to begin our paddleboarding excursion! We loved 260° we returned for dinner the next day!
Esterel Resort was the perfect escape into an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. We can’t wait to return in winter and partake in some fun winter activities (they offer skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating and more!). If you get the chance, I’d highly recommend staying at the Esterel Resort for a vacation you won’t forget.
