First Look At My New IKEA Pax Closet

Hi darlings! This post has been a long time coming. I finally built my dream closet! It’s still not 100% finished (I have a few more drawers + shelves to add to the first unit) but I wanted to share the progress so far + a few of my favorite things in my closet. Keep reading for a rundown of my closet progress and why I chose the IKEA Pax to create my dream closet!
Why Did You Choose The IKEA Pax?
I’ve been craving an IKEA Pax ever since Steph Jolly revealed her closet tour. I was instantly taken aback by how gorgeous her closet was. The clean, white, minimalistic look attracted me to the system – as well as how easy it is to personalize. I am guilty of owning way to many clothing and accessories – so I needed a simply and easy solution to organize my belongings.
How The IKEA PAX Works:
What hooked me on the IKEA Pax is the PAX Planner provided on the IKEA website. This tool allows you to create your custom closet with your room dimensions. You can visually see how your closet will look. When you’re finished creating your dream closet IKEA provides you with a shopping list. Once you arrive at IKEA you can hand it to customer service and they will have your order for you immediately! Make sure to bring a truck (these pieces are large) or you’ll have to get the order delivered to your place for a fee.
How I’m Liking My Closet So Far:
In love. I’ll admit I didn’t think it would take as long to assemble (I had one helper) however the process was relatively straightforward. As for the finished product – I cannot get enough of my closet. It’s such a feel good closet. Sometimes I just walk into my “cloffice” (closet/office) and stare at it. It really is so aesthetically pleasing. While I’m still not finished assembling it (due to indecisiveness, mostly) I have finished 2/3 wardrobes (I bought three in total).
A Rundown Of My Closet:
Today I wanted to give you a run down of of the third wardrobe and how I maximize it’s storage space. For this wardrobe in particular, I wanted the focus to be a display of my favorite things on a shelf. This shelf will be switched up monthly for variation. I chose to display most used necklaces on my necklace holder (only $20, I highly recommend!), a few of my current go-to bags and all time favorite hat and a scripture quote that is dear to my heart by a local artist. Above this centerpiece, I placed two shelves containing my most-used large bags including my Chloe Faye and my two dupes (they’re nearly identical!) Underneath my centerpiece, I wanted to display some of my most used accessories in this pull out glass tray with dividers. I still need to add a few more items, but I’ve already placed my favorite Gucci belt (in silver and gold) and leopard print sunnies. The glass drawer underneath contains my most used crossbody bags and wallets. I’ll include a roundup of each bag + wallet at the end of this post. Not pictured are two more closed front white drawers filled with athleisure and running shoes.
Shop My Closet:
See something you want? I’m making it super easy to shop the items in my closet! Simply click the photo of the item you want and you’ll immediately be taken to shop it. Make sure to use the arrows on either side of the widget to shop more items! See something in the photo but can’t find it? Shoot me an email and I’d be happy to send you the link to the specific item (or something similar!).
