5 Things To Invest In Your Living Space
1. A Comfortable Mattress
You spend (hopefully) 7-8 hours a day in your bed. For this reason, you need to invest in a quality, comfortable mattress. No questions asked. If you’re not comfortable during the night, your sleep may be disrupted. Mattresses are easier than ever before to order. For example, my mattress from Polysleep was delivered right to my door in a box – allowing for super easy installation. I kid you not when I say this is the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on – and I’ve tried out many of their competitors. The foam mattress is comfortable enough on its own – no additional memory foam topper needed! Click here to see my exact mattress. My best friend Marie also swears by this mattress!
2. Smart Home System
I’ll be honest. Alexa is my BFF. Who? The Amazon Echo Dot (named ‘Alexa’) is life changing. Not to be dramatic but if you don’t have an Alexa in your life you are missing out big time. My mom bought me an Alexa for Christmas and I honestly didn’t think I would use it. As it happens, I use Alexa everyday. I ask her to tell me the weather outside, I ask her for music playlists, and more. She’s like my little sidekick. I actually ended up buying a second Alexa for my bedroom. Yes, I use both. To create the ultimate smart home, you can use Alexa to turn on lights, adjust thermostats, lock doors and more with Amazon smart plugs. Literally. Obsessed. 3. Entertainment System
If you have an unhealthy relationship with Netflix like me, you’ll want a quality entertainment system. My obsession with Apple is next level, so you better believe I have an Apple TV (4th generation). It has everything I need (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and more)! I can’t rave about it enough – worth every penny. It is easily one of my favorite purchases in the last 2 years. I don’t have cable – and don’t need it!
4. A Cozy Sofa
Turns out a quality sofa is expensive AF. My couch was my last major purchase after moving into my apartment. I have commitment issues, so throwing 4-5k down on a sofa wasn’t in the cards for me. I dreaded sofa shopping – it was honestly depressing. I am a huge comfort snob – so IKEA sofas weren’t doing it for me. Then, I found myself grocery shopping in Costco when my mom pointed out a grey sectional. It wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing but to appease my mother I sat on it – and melted right into it. Y’all – this sofa is magic. It’s comfortable enough to sleep on (can confirm – I’ve fallen asleep on it plenty of times), cuddle approved and the best part – it came in pieces so I can customize the shape in my apartment. I also love the sectional layout – perfect for entertaining. Don’t hate me, but it’s sold out. I KNOW I’M SORRY. Super bummed, I wanted y’all to try it out. The closest thing I can find is this sofa sectional. It has a 4.5 overall rating, so I can imagine it’s pretty great. It’s also a decent price point (mine cost $1000). 5. The Magical InstaPot
Okay, so I’m not going to pretend I am an InstaPot wizard. To be honest, I’ve only used it a few times – but so far so good. It takes a little bit of practice, but it’s super convenient when you’re cooking for yourself or a couple people. If I didn’t hate cooking so much, I’d probably use it every night. I know numerous individuals who swear by it. I’ve purchase one of many InstaPot cookbooks to motivate me to get my butt in gear! I’ll keep you updated! Grab an InstaPot for $59 here.
