Before you LOL, hear me out. Figuring out what to wear when it’s hot outside is one of my greatest wardrobe dilemmas. How do I keep cool, look cute and dress appropriately in the smothering heat? I live in Florida, so I know a thing or two about heat (more specifically: humidity). Most days, I’m hot as heck so I have to get creative with my outfits. Today I wanted to share an everyday outfit I’d wear on a hot day. First things first: get a pair of cute shorts. While I’m often tempted to grab a pair of ripped jean shorts, I realized I needed to grab a more formal pair of shorts when ripped shorts just won’t cut it. I grabbed these adorable button paperboy shorts for under $60. I’m seriously bummed out they aren’t available in more colors, as I would buy one in every color. I love the loose fit of the shorts, making them super comfortable and forgiving after meals. The bow is the cherry on top! I paired these shorts with this playful top. Why I love it: the draped sleeves are just precious, it has a slightly oversized fit (without being too boxy) and it is made with extremely lightweight, breathable material. It’s under $40 and comes in six colors and you better believe I’ll be picking up a few more! As for accessories, I debuted my new floral embroidered cross body that screams spring. Yes, it’s adorable and a great price point at $55! I selected the mint version, but it also comes in a light grey. As for shoes, I selected these leather white flats, which have quickly become a new closet staple. They form perfectly to your feet (great for narrow and wide feet) and elongate your legs with their pointed toe. They come in 7 colors and are simply stunning!
