How To Keep Your Hair Fresh In Between Washes
Keep reading to see how to freshen up your hair in a whole new way.
Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario I have learned the importance of a great healthcare system, the need to apologize profusely and the delicacy of poutine. I’ve also learned how to adapt to -40 degree weather along with 4-5 month long winters. Toques, scarves, insulated boots and heated blankets are all must-haves, and yes seasonal depression is a real thing. After coming to my senses and moving to Orlando, Florida to permanently de-thaw, I was faced with a new challenge: how to survive the heat. More specifically, how to survive 100-degree heat, with 99% humidity. As my grandma always used to say “it’s not the heat, it’s the humidity”. As a gal who takes pride in her appearance, It’s hard to feel beautiful when you literally have sweat dripping down your entire body while walking from your house to the car. Not cute. There is only so much deodorant one can apply. Luckily, my mom shared a beauty secret with me I am forever thankful for. Two words: baby powder. More specifically, Johnson’s Baby Powder. This magical white powder eliminates that tacky feeling and prevents sweat buildup throughout the day. On humid days, I apply it on my scalp to prevent oil buildup. This allows my hair to stay cleaner longer – meaning I don’t have to shower as often! I even carry a travel size in my purse incase I need to freshen up my hair! Having Johnson’s Baby Powder on me at all times reassures me I will stay fresh throughout the day – despite the immense Florida humidity. I highly recommend you try out this technique to achieve perfect hair in between washes and let me know your experience!
Thank you to Johnson’s Baby Powder for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
