How To Build Your Own Custom Closet
It’s been just over a year since I built my custom closet! I first introduced my closet in this post as a sneak peek. Since then, I have arranged and rearranged my closet a few too many times and am happy to report it survived the move to my new house! Today I’ll be diving deeper into details of my IKEA Pax closet, some of my favorite organizers and the products I love to display!

I chose the IKEA Pax system because you can customize every aspect of the closet. It offers an option with doors as well as an open concept (without doors) like mine for a boutique feel. My custom closet is comprised of three frames which originally filled the back wall of my cloffice (closet/office) in my apartment.
My closet contains the following 3 frames:
2x PAX Wardrobe Frame, White, 29 1/2×22 7/8×92 7/8 ” (75x58x236 cm)
1x PAX Wardrobe Frame, White, 39 3/8×22 7/8×92 7/8 ” (100x58x236 cm)
Unfortunately I never took a photo of the full closet in my apartment, however I have the following photos from the week I moved out (some of the items in my closet were packed so it wasn’t at it’s best *cries*). Shoutout to my old apartment for having the best lighting of all time (the wall furthest from the closet was also floor to ceiling windows).

In my new house, my office only allows enough space for two of the three frames. I ripped out the existing closet doors and clothing racks and placed two IKEA Pax frames inside. I love the way it turned out! I ended up putting one of the smaller frames on the opposite wall to display my shoes.

Each frame is personalized to display and store my favorite closet staples. The largest frame (75x58x236 cm), pictured on the left in the photo above, includes the following:
2x KOMPLEMENT White Drawer With Glass Front
This frame includes a clothing rail to display some of my favorite clothing items. To give the frame depth, I included a top shelf to display bags and shoes and drawers underneath for fashion and beauty accessories. Hidden storage space was essential to me (not everything I own is picture perfect) so I included 2 white drawers to stash tax receipts, electronics, chords, etc. I also have two drawers with a glass front to display some of my prettier pieces, including some of my favorite low heel sandals, makeup palettes, wallets, purses and booties.

In order to create a boutique feel, I created an open concept display with one of the smaller frames (100x58x236 cm). Within this frame I included:
1x KOMPLEMENT Glass Shelf, White
1x KOMPLEMENT Pull-Out Tray, White
1x KOMPLEMENT White Drawer With Glass Front
I used two shelves to display bags and shoes on the top. Underneath, I left space to display a few of my favorite art pieces, my sunglasses holder, jewelry holder and fedora. Underneath, I opted for a glass shelf with a pull out tray underneath displaying some of my go-to fashion and beauty accessories including my blue light blocking glasses, gold love bracelets, Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer Palette, Gisou hair oil, hair clips, gold drop earrings, gold pineapple tray, MAC liquid lipsticks and more! Underneath I included 1 drawer with a glass front to display my purse collection and 3 white drawers to stash camera equipment, important documents and products for upcoming collaborations.

Finally, the third frame (100x58x236 cm) is used to display my booties and purses. This frame consists of the following:
As you can see from the photos above, the shoes and purses displayed are rotated depending on what season we’re in. In my current office, this frame is on the opposite side of the room. You can shop my booties collection here and my purse collection here!
