Fall Trend: Cuffed Jeans

Shop The Look:

Hey girls! Fall is in full swing here in my hometown (Ottawa, Canada). While I live in Florida, I try to visit home every year to enjoy the breathtaking fall foliage. Everywhere you look are yellow, orange and red leaves shining in the sun! I’ve always taken 4 seasons for granted growing up in Ottawa, but living in the south I now appreciate fall so much more! My brother’s girlfriend visited our family this month – and she had never seen leaves change before (born and raised in Florida)! It was so much fun to see her eyes light up at the sight of such a colourful backdrop. I thought it was only fitting to share some of the color with you! Yesterday my family and I carried out our annual fall photo tradition! Since I was a young girl, we’d all pile into the car and search for the brightest, most colourful trees to snap some photos in front of! This year we didn’t have to go far – this forest is a 2 minute drive from our family home. For fall photos, I try to stick with colors that will compliment the yellow, orange and red leaves. This year I pulled this plum top (great affordable basic top), my forest green moto jacket (it’s a older Zara find, but here & here are similar styles) and these new jeans! If you’re a tall girl like me, you’ll understand the #struggle of finding a pair of jeans that fit. My hack when a pair of jeans fit, but are too short: cuffing! I simply put on my jeans and fold over half an inch of the jeans to create a cuff. I adore this look with a pair of fierce booties (similar style here 50% off)! Lucky for me, this trend is a popular one in fall. I love how it gives more emphasis to your shoes. It’s an effortless fashion forward trend everyone call pull off! Now for more details on the jeans. You know my love affair with Riders by Lee jeans is real and I had to grab another pair this month. Their price point can’t be beat (under $20!) and they pair well with every. single. outfit. This time I pulled the black Rider’s By Lee Middies Skinny Jeans and I’m in love! I love how they are subtle fade – giving them a lived in, casual look. If you’re a black on black type of gal (I would happily live in black 4ever) these jeans are perfect for creating a subtle contrast against a pure black top or accessories.
