Try out this gorgeous day-date makeup look that I’ve been wearing lately!
Happy Bachelor Monday! This week I decided to put together a cute day date look! Ya girl has been on a few day dates lately and I thought I would re-create a look I wore the other day. On dates, I typically like to wear more of an everyday makeup look – nothing too over the top. Basically, anything I would wear with my girlfriends out to brunch. Keep reading for a step by step rundown of my day date look makeup look!
As y’all know I have been experimenting with airbrush foundation lately. I’ve been using the Luminess Legend Airbrush System for a few months and it’s my favorite airbrush system I’ve used so far! If you’re intimidated by airbrush foundation – don’t be! After a few applications it becomes much easier to use. For this look I used the Mystic Airbrush Foundation in shade 4. I used 8 drops of foundation and sprayed it on my face in a circular motion for a smooth finish! This foundation works great for my oily skin, but if you have dry skin I’d recommend checking out the 3 other foundations!
Since I have a round face, I always contour my face for a slimming affect. Continuing with the airbrush routine, I contoured using my Luminess Air Contour on the sides of my forehead, just below my cheekbones and the sides of my nose. I applied the contour in a circular motion for a smooth finish.
To give my face more definition, I used Luminess Air Highlight on the bridge of my nose, the middle of my forehead, the middle of my shin and under my eyes in an upside down triangle! Once again, I applied the highlighter in a circular motion for a smooth finish. For a more detailed rundown of how I contour and highlight using airbrush makeup check out this post.
To fill in my eyebrows, I used the Luminess Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown. My eyebrows are naturally light in color, so I amped up the color by applying short hair-like strokes to my eyebrows. I then used the comb on the opposite end to brush through brows and blend. For less than $10, this eyebrow pencil is a steal!
For day dates I like to keep my eyeshadow to a minimum. I used this makeup palette under $10 for a subtle smokey eye. I used the lightest shade in the palette to highlight under my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes. Next, I used the top 5th shade on my lids and the top 6th shade in my crease to create depth. I love how it turned out!
After applying my false lashes, I used this liquid eyeliner in black. I recently started using this eyeliner and love how thin the applicator is! The staying power of this liner is also super impressive. It is definitely worth the money.
To finish off my eyes I applied my current favorite mascara to my top and bottom lashes. I adore how this mascara volumizes and lengthens my lashes! Definitely a mascara worth investing in!
