Shopping and Dining in Yorkville, Toronto

Travel blogger Mash Elle shares the best bakery cafe in Toronto, Nadège PatisserieAs most of you know, I spent last weekend in Toronto with my soul sista Boho Nouveau. After spending a day at High Park, Sunday was spent winding down at Nadège Patisserie for brunch. When Boho Nouveau recommends an eatery, I am expecting bright coloured decor, unique small portion dishes and an overwhelmingly delicious dessert menu. Nadège Patisserie is no exception as the sweetest little cafe accompanied with a well-rounded bakery selection (anyone who knows me well understands bakery treats are the way to my heart).Travel blogger Mash Elle shares the best macaroon cake at Nadège PatisserieTravel blogger Mash Elle shares the best macaroons in Toronto from Nadège PatisserieTravel blogger Mash Elle shares a lunch panini from Nadège PatisserieTravel blogger Mash Elle shows the best macaroons in downtown Toronto from Nadège PatisserieAfter finishing our turkey sandwiches and macaroons (a collection of salted caramel, cotton candy, rose and blackberry) we opted for some retail shopping in Yorkville. Yorkville is an assembly of Toronto’s most upscale designer boutiques, plush hotels and stunning art galleries. Boutiques within Yorkville comprise Prada, Gucci, Chanl, Hermès, Tiffany & Co., Vera Wang, Hugo Boss and Burberry. With a plethora of upscale shopping, Yorkville often attracts celebrities.

Further, the Village of Yorkville Park contains unique gardens located on the south side of Cumberland Street reaching west of Bellair Street. Village of Yorkville Park has won numerous national and international urban design awards for its unique architecture, including an oasis of metal structure waterfalls, “The Rock” a 600-ton fragment of Canada’s glacial shield, mist-emittng light columns and a gorgeous arrangement of crabapple trees and Scots Pines.

After a day of cafes and boutiques, Meghan and I returned back home to enjoy The Bachelorette {I heart Eric} and played with her adorable puppy, Beau. It was a great mini-escape from school and left me feeling refreshed to complete the final essay of my Master’s Degree (can I get an Amen!). I hope you enjoyed this summary of my experiences of shopping and dining in Yorkville, Toronto.

What a beautiful area and the bakery treats look delicious! One of my favorite places I’ve shopped was The Magnificent Mile in Chicago.
