10 Calorie Mocktail

Blogger Mash Elle shares an easy 5 calorie cocktail recipe

Let me begin by saying I am ecstatic spring is officially here. I am extremely blessed to live in a location that actually reaps the benefits of spring weather. I have officially packed away my oversized wool sweaters, heavy down jackets and cozy winter boots – and swiftly replaced them with sassy high-wasted shorts, tank tops and bikinis. With spring comes the opportunity to host many outdoor parties: from an intimate social gathering to a full blown fiesta! I don’t know about you, but my social calendar seems to be more fruitful as the weather outside shines bright. In the spirit of upcoming festivities ahead: I took it upon myself to put together an effortless, fool proof non-alcoholic party drink sure to please all of your guests, no matter what age. Meet the new Four 10-Calorie Sodas. It’s 7Up, Sunkist, A&W and Canada Dry – but at a mere 10 calories. Genius? I think so. My #1 healthy lifestyle goal this spring is replacing high calorie beverages with healthier alternatives. I’d say these drinks fit the challenge.

Step 1:

Head down to your local Wal-Mart and pick up your choice of beverages from the Four 10-Calorie Sodas. These puppies are located in the soft drink isle. My personal preference is the Sunkist 10-Cal and 7Up 10-Cal.

Step 2:

Slice up your favourite fruit and place it into the pitcher for an added fruity taste. My preferred medley consists of pineapple, strawberries oranges, lemons and limes!

Step 3:

Pour medley into serving glasses. For a more elegant touch, I recommend crystal flutes for your guests.

 Step 4:

For a personalized touch, finalize your drinks with garnishes of your choice. I used orange, lemon and lime slices, however other options include mini umbrellas, fresh flowers and/or sugar dipped flutes.
